Hall-Dale Elementary School fourth grade students experience “hands on” local history each winter at Vaughan Homestead. After learning about the Moore Ice Company, whose crew harvested ice from Cascade Pond for three quarters of a century, students hiked out to the pond and worked with the VWHH property team to experience how much work it was to get blocks out of the pond!
