A movement is afoot to support the sustainable use of natural places by photographers! Here at VWHH we are just learning how to talk about this. We really like seeing our local high school seniors getting their special pics on the driving bridge or families in the field having their portraits taken! And who doesn’t love a perfect waterfall or autumn colors nature shot? But photography can be problematic when it impacts the natural resource or other visitors. The short of it is that low-impact photography practices are good for everyone – there’s even an entire organization devoted to promoting it! Check out the “Principle of Nature First Photography” below as well as a few other resources. And if you’re headed to Vaughan Woods to take pictures, either professionally or for recreation, be sure to read our Information For Photographers page first!
