Over the past few months, we’ve finally been able to move all of the furnishings and boxes back into the music room. The contents of the music room, which was emptied out so it could undergo a restoration, had been stored in the dining room for two years! And now we are discovering that the dining room is in need of a deep cleaning. While cleaning, we were remarking how poor the lighting in the dining room is and wondered why a chandelier/overhead light had never been installed. Then a few days later I happened upon this photograph from 1932 showing that the room did indeed have a chandelier at one point. We rummaged around in the upstairs of the shed, and were able to find the exact hanging lamp from this photograph!
