8th: Fresh snow!
19th: A cold and icy start to the new year, but lots of progress on projects in the house. Laundry room cleaned and re-organized, new mail area set up … Scraping woodwork in the music room continues and awaiting wallpaper. Sample arrived from printer – here is new paper on the left reproduced from original c . 1890s roll on the right:
Discovered that Fota House in Ireland has a red version of this “Pompadour” wallpaper in their library. And saw the paper in green in a movie – “Agatha Christie & The Truth of Murder,” filmed at Grey Abbey House, also in Ireland!
