Walk For Historical & Ecological Recovery
We invite you to be part of our journey. In recent years VWHH has undertaken an effort to understand, acknowledge and reconcile with difficult parts of the Homestead’s history — specifically in relationship to enslavement and colonialism. On September 21, 2024 VWHH will be hosting a “Walk For Historical & Ecological Recovery (WHERE)” event that will not only share some of our work, but also that of the In-Kinship Collective, which is developing place-based performance works that attend to Wabanaki displacement and continuance in the Kennebec River watershed. Coordinated by our friends at The Atlantic Black Box Project, this is one of seven WHERE events happening around the state in 2024.  We are proud to be part of this effort and hope you will join us on Saturday, September 21 at 4:00 p.m. as we continue our learning journey.
